Milestone Education are currently recruiting for a pastoral and learning support assistant to work within a Secondary SEMH provision in the Birmingham area, the job involves working 1:1 with students and providing academic and emotional support where required.

The school is seeking someone who will act as a positive role model to the students and also someone who is able to assist in a mixture of subjects as well as being able to identify areas of improvement.
The school offer referral placements to children and young people aged 9 – 16yrs who have experienced difficulties within the mainstream setting. The young people can demonstrate challenging behaviour as well a spectrum of other needs such as ASC, attachment disorders and ADHD. Their small class sized of between 3-5 pupils allows them to ensure each student receives individual support as well as full classroom learning.
To be considered for this position, you must have the following:
- Experience of working with SEMH, ASC, Attachment Disorders
- Experience within education or with vulnerable young people
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Driven and caring personality
