Job Title: 1st Line IT Support
Location: Warrington
Are you a technical support superstar? Do you thrive on providing excellent customer service? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then we want you to join our team at Bilfinger UK! We are a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across multiple markets.
As our 1st Line IT Support, you will be responsible for providing technical support to users via phone, email, or onsite. You will be the first point of contact for our customers and will play a crucial role in maintaining our high level of customer service. You will take ownership of user problems and be proactive in resolving issues, always keeping in mind our service management principles.
To succeed in this role, you should have relevant 1st line/Helpdesk support experience and a strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems, with an emphasis on Windows desktop technologies (Windows 10). You should also have experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook within a network environment. Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration is also important.
If you have excellent telephone manner and face-to-face communication skills, along with MCP certification (which would be beneficial but not essential), we want to hear from you! You should have a thorough, professional approach, excellent inter-personal skills, and the ability to inspire user confidence.
In addition, we're looking for someone who can support and motivate others, explore the customer's situation to develop a fuller understanding of their underlying needs, deliver what has been agreed with the customer, exceed customer expectations, and deal effectively with dissatisfied customers. You should be able to ensure the effective and efficient use of time and resources, and monitor progress against the plan and act accordingly.
