The A1 Group is a family run business specialising in Scrap Metal, Loo Hire and Wet Waste. Our Car Spares division is looking for an 8 Car Transporter Driverto join our expanding team working out of our Wokingham Depot.

The driveris responsible for transporting vehicles from one location to another in a safe and timely manner
The Role:
- Maintaining all required paperwork is completed in line with procedures and requirements.
- Load and unload cargo from the trailer
- Follow traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
- Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise.

- Ability to work to a high level of accuracy with particular attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner
- Enthusiastic, efficient, well-motivated and a positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a small team with limited supervision
- Good product knowledge upon completion of in-house training
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety working and be aware that this job is physically demanding with work mainly carried out outside.
- Timekeeping and attendance are essential to maintain customer demands
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience
- Ability to operate different types of vehicles such as vans, flatbeds, or trucks
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle if needed
