The Company – Account Director

We are supporting an internationally and global reaching PR & Communications agency to find an established Account Director to join their rapidly growing team, and take a lead role in delivering powerful communication strategies in line their client service excellence principles.

Based in stunning Oxfordshire and established 15 years ago, their ethos is simple – Produce excellent work for excellent clients. They strive to build strong and lasting relationships with stakeholders, with many employees and clients having been with the team from the very beginning.

They work closely with their diverse client-base, from start-ups to huge global conglomerates, across governmental organisations, non-profits and B2B businesses. Acting as an extension to their team and gaining invaluable insight through open and honest communication, they deliver powerful and change-driving PR and Communication programmes.

Their agile team of experts across journalism, crisis and reputation management, International PR, public affairs and political consulting deliver scalable and bespoke communication programmes that support them in realising their strategic goals, through a deep understanding of their audiences.

The Role – Account Director

As a result of some huge client wins, they are now looking for a highly experienced Account Director to play a lead role in client servicing, team management and winning new business. You will have both strategic expertise and hands on ability, utilising your skills to formulate bespoke and scalable PR and Communication strategies across reputation management, crisis response and engaging social media campaigns as well has working within Media relations and Press.

They offer great flexibility around hybrid working. You will only be required to attend the office 1 day a week, but with the option to go in as much as you need.

Key Responsibilities;


  • You will lead the team, taking ownership across a small number of key accounts and develop powerful communication and PR strategies, ensuring the principles of client service excellence is upheld
  • You will be the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, developing and strengthening long term relationships
  • You will champion the supportive and balanced working culture, treating the well-being and overall happiness of your team as top priority
  • Day-to day management and overall professional development and continued learning of a small team
  • You will play a central role in winning new business, leading on new business pitches and onboarding of new clients

Key Requirements;

  • Previous experience in a Account Director position or a minimum of 5 years of agency experience
  • A proven track record in managing and developing a successful and efficient team
  • Proven track in delivering PR and Comms strategies and client management
  • Exceptional Copywriting skills
  • Team management experience would be a bonus
  • Self-motivated and able to hit the ground running
