Role overview
We are looking for an Account Director,to join our team in the UK, who is passionate about technology marketing to support our agency client services team on a variety of disciplines including PR and social media. You will manage client programmes and provide strategic counsel to clients alongside daily communications. Reporting to and being supported by a VP of Client Services & Strategy, you will lead a portfolio of client teams, manage junior staff and participate in new business growth and agency initiatives.
As an Account Director at Publitek, you will:
Plan and execute strategic PR programmes, social media programmes for brands and executives, and integrated programmes across multiple service areas
Develop plans and goals and set metrics
Drive revenue growth within your portfolio of clients by upselling our integrated services
Oversee reporting, analysis and programme optimisation
Lead status / strategy calls with clients; manage client relationships; oversee integrated programmes
Guide junior staff and direct reports on daily responsibilities
Oversee financial management and time forecasting for your portfolio of clients
Be the primary client contact for strategic counsel, while elevating and guiding your teams toward leading strategy themselves
Conduct and direct the team on media pitching and placement for announcements, launches and active storytelling outreach
Understand the technical trade and corporate media landscape and actively monitor for new opportunities
Secure and manage briefings and schedules, and serve as clients' PR representative during briefings
Manage writing/editing of PR materials and other content
Conduct and manage social media strategy and oversee your team's execution including post writing, curating, scheduling and posting as well as community management
You'll bring:
At least 5 years of experience in PR/ content marketing / social media
Experience in strategic PR and organic social media strategy
Some knowledge and experience in advertising, direct marketing and collateral or a genuine desire and commitment to learn them
Experience within agency environments and B2B technology clients
A curiosity and desire to learn about tech
