Job Title: Account Executive, Public Sector (Remote)

Package: £75,000 - £85,000 basic / £130,000 - £140,000 OTE

Selling: FinTech SaaS solution in to Public Sector

Why: Series B looking to scale quickly with a number of top names already on board

The company are a leading FinTech organisation, with recent awards from Deloitte and recognised as one of the fastest growing FinTechs in the UK. Their technology solves issues around KYC/AML, Compliance and Risk. Following recent investment the company are about to enter their next phase of rapid growth and are looking for a Public Sector Sales Professional.


As they are scaling significantly this role is a new business position selling in to large public sector customers. You will need to have experience of selling SaaS, understand the public procurement process and be familiar with the tender and bid process. Any experience around KYC/AML, HCM/HR solutions, FinTech SaaS, Onboarding would be highly beneficial due to the nature of the conversation you will be having.


This is a fully remote role and the business have a remote first mindset. The benefits package is extremely strong and the company give their staff quarterly development days and a dedicated annual personal learning budget that has to be used!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within the public sector. Building long-term client relationships that deliver a service which is second to none, to drive revenue and growth
  • Become the go to expert in their field and immerse yourself in the industry. Strong understanding of legal and compliance industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging existing relationships and establishing new ones with government agencies and public sector organizations.
  • Conduct compelling presentations and demonstrations of their SaaS solutions, effectively communicating their benefits and addressing the specific needs of public sector clients.
  • Lead contract negotiations, be involved in the bid and tender process and close deals, ensuring alignment with company policies and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless sales process and exceptional client experience.
  • Stay informed about public sector market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt and refine sales strategies.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years focused on selling SaaS solutions to the public sector, ideally in to enterprise accounts.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong network of contacts within the public sector and a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Deep understanding of public sector procurement processes and regulatory requirements related to financial technology.
