About The Role:

Walr is looking for an Account Managerwithin our EMEA team. This role is well-suited for individuals who thrive in the dynamic environment of a startup, excel under tight timelines, embrace change, and effectively manage multiple tasks.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the development and ongoing account management for clients in EMEA. With the guidance of the respective commercial leader, they will build and execute a plan to enable successful delivery against commercial targets for Revenue and Gross Margin. The successful candidate feels intrigued by a role that combines sales acumen, project management skills, and an understanding of the sampling side of the market research industry, to maximiseshare of wallet with customers, drive maximum growth and customer delight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Have primary responsibility to achieve the maximum share of wallet within a named stable of accounts and meet commercial targets for revenue and gross margin.
  • Proactively manage and expand account relationships to maximize growth potential.
  • Respond promptly, reliably, and accurately to incoming quoting requests from clients.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the Walr proposition, with the ability to sell at all service levels, emphasizing sample-only services complemented by full service and the Walr platform for high-volume accounts.
  • Lead by example in all aspects of the role and provide guidance to more junior team members
  • Work hand-in-hand with the project management side of the Delivery team, be obsessed with customer satisfaction and delivery of best-in-class service
  • Troubleshoot in-field challenges on projects alongside project managers, working directly within the Walr platform to find solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Weekly reporting of commercial performance, demonstrating pipeline management, action-based planning, and data-driven account decision making
  • Ensure that all data, project details, and client information are consistently captured in Walr's sales systems to support reporting requirements and data-driven account management decisions.

Desired Experience

  • Experienced in online quantitative data collection, with a proven track record of driving growth in commercial organizations through account management practices.
  • Good knowledge of market research disciplines, with specific experience in selling data, samples, and associated professional services.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong track record of successfully executing account plans and meeting associated targets.
  • Highly strategic and consultative individual with a natural curiosity and a passion for innovation.
  • Confident communicator with clients through all communication channels.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders both within the organization and externally.
  • A strong presence and a wealth of experience in interacting with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Proficient in working with data and explaining its impact to support decision-making.

Joining us in this hybrid remote role means you'll have the flexibility to work from home, whilst also connecting with your colleagues in person at our vibrant London office at least 1-2 days a week
