Job Description

We’re looking for a Broker Account Manager - German speaking

We’re looking for a Broker Account Manager in London or Frankfurt.

As an Account Manager for the Broker Channel you’ll be the first port of call for our brokers and will give them exceptional customer service in managing loan applications for their clients. Working closely with other teams, you will supervise and manage these applications from start to completion and provide our brokers with an in-depth understanding of iwoca’s product benefits, customer eligibility and use cases.

About us

Fast, flexible finance empowers small businesses to manage their cash flow better and seize opportunities - making their business and the economy stronger as a whole. At iwoca, we do just that. We help businesses get the funds they need, when they need it, often within minutes.

We’ve already made several billion in funding available to over 100,000 businesses since we launched in 2012, and positioned ourselves as a leading Fintech in Europe. Our mission is to finance one million businesses. We’ll get there by continuing to make our finance ever more relevant and accessible to more businesses by combining cutting-edge technology, data science and a 5-star customer service.

Our culture

We’re expanding fast across our offices in London, Leeds and Frankfurt. With all this growth, we’re looking for people who want to learn on the job and lead projects, knowing that your ideas will impact thousands of small businesses.

Your mission

We work with a lot of multipliers across Germany - commercial brokers, consultants, insurance brokers - to offer finance to their clients, and this channel generates a substantial proportion of iwoca’s total revenue.

In addition to managing loan applications you will have the opportunity to help shape and develop the future of this valuable channel. Running projects alongside your day-to-day business gives you the possibility to explore your interests and develop your abilities.

  • Engage with brokers with both inbound and outbound calls and represent the company in a highly professional manner at all times

  • Understand credit applications and be able to give ad-hoc guidance on credit worthiness

  • Provide timely updates for ongoing cases, answering questions related to specific applications or product queries

  • Complete ad-hoc analysis and tasks for our Broker Channel Managers

  • Go above and beyond to hit and exceed your KPIs to enable us to exceed growth targets

  • Manage the day-to-day working relationship with all brokers

  • Represent iwoca with a high level of knowledge about the company and our value proposition

Requirements

We look for people who are smart, humble, motivated and who are always looking to improve.

Ideally you'll have:

  • Be a fluent German speaker with a good level of written and spoken English

  • Have a strong level of self organisation, diligence and prioritization skills

  • Have the ability to build and maintain long lasting business relationships

  • Be motivated and results-oriented and get excited from achieving and smashing targets

  • Thrive on having an impact on our business and processes, and proactively bring in innovative ideas

  • Be excited about working in and re-shaping the finance industry

  • Shine in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

  • Appreciate feedback and regularly look for ways to outdo yourself and your performance

Don’t take this list as prescriptive: it’s just to give you a sense of who might do well at the job. We’d still love to hear from you if you don’t hit every point on the list, or if you have other experience.

We want to pay all of our employees fairly, so that’s why we regularly benchmark salaries based on market rates and to recognise your increasing value to our business. We are looking to pay from £33,000 - £44,500 + bonus.

We want to make iwoca a place where everyone feels welcome, where you can confidently be yourself. We understand that inclusivity, and diversity that comes through greater inclusivity, isn't an optional add-on; it's the core ingredient of what makes us great. We care about making iwoca a healthy and happy community for all of our team members to thrive in.

Our benefits

We put a lot of effort into making iwoca a brilliant place to work:

  • Offices in London, Leeds and Frankfurt.

  • Events and clubs, like bingo, comedy nights, yoga classes, football…

  • Two company retreats a year, we’ve been to France, Italy, Spain and further afield

  • Plenty of drinks and snacks in our offices

We offer a wide range of benefits:
