Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day contact for clients to ensure smooth running. Drive internal processes (logistics and admin) to track delivery against communication plan

• Take leadership and drive account forward

• Lead on first drafts of proposal documents for clients and adapt writing style for different audiences accordingly, e.g. social copy, by-lines, press releases

• Coach and mentor juniors and provide constructive feedback on work

• Conduct media monitoring and analysis

• Monitor client news and identify opportunities for clients to engage with stakeholders

• Own journalist and/ or stakeholder relationships. Coordinate and review engagement plans, review media briefing notes drafted by junior team members

• Active participant in new business pitches. Oversee research for pitches and actively review findings to shape the answer. Contribute to document creation process

• Confident with digital and social media platforms

• Attend external networking events/webinars directly relevant to clients and attend them whether virtually or in person. Build external network.

Essential skills and experience

• Excellent writing skills

• Good time management and high level of attention to detail

• Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced PR team

• Experience of delivering impactful integrated comms campaigns

• A genuine interest in business, current affairs and the media

• A ‘can-do’ attitude and a collaborative mindset

• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Experience of working with B2B and B2C brands

• Experience in managing teams (managing both up and down).

• Strong presenting and writing skills

• Proven track record of stakeholder and/ or media relations skills

Desirable skills and experience

• Strong digital skills and experience working with tools desirable but not essential as you will receive training on our digital tools (Brandwatch, Onalytica and Traackr
