Accounts & Audit Senior£45,000 – £50,000Gerrards CrossFull Time, PermanentRef: 401868A friendly firm of accountants is recruiting for a talented Accounts & Audit Senior to join its team in Gerrards Cross.  This well-established firm is enjoying a period of continuing growth, providing high quality advisory and compliance services in accounts, audit and tax to a broad range of clients.This role will offer hybrid and flexible working patterns and would suit someone who thrives under pressure in a busy environment and is looking to improve their skills and developments.As Accounts & Audit Senior your responsibilities will include:Lead company audit assignments, which will include planning, fieldwork and completion using standard programmesPreparation and completion of company accounts in accordance with the firm’s policies and proceduresCarry out specialist audits (eg; SAR, ATOL, pensions and charities)Carry out ad-hoc assignments (eg; due diligence and systems reviews)Preparation of corporation tax computationsCarry out work efficiently, to budget and within deadlinesSupervise, train and mentor more junior members of staffResearch and analyse financial statements and audit related issuesMaintain client confidentiality and professional relationshipsProactively interact with client management to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvementsManage assignments and report to audit manager or partner on progressSome travel to client sites may be required Please do apply for this role is you have the following skills, experience and attributes:ACA or ACCA qualified or finalistHave significant experience in statutory audit, bookkeeping and statutory accounts preparation, gained within a multi-partner practice environmentAbility to work under pressureExcellent management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsStrong technical knowledgeLeadership, training, and mentoring skillsAbility to work in a team environmentHighly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within budgets and deadlinesDedicated to superior client serviceAbility to build a quick rapport in a friendly, confident and enthusiastic wayStrong organisational skills and attention to detailComputer literate with knowledge of Microsoft office, Sage, Xero and other accounting softwareExperience and knowledge of CCH would be an advantageIdeally a driver with own carTechnically up to date with current legislation The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, bonus, hybrid working, flexible working hours and benefits scheme.This may not be your perfect role today, so and we will contact you as suitable vacancies arise.Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications for this role from candidates that do not have the right to work in the UK, or require visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.  This includes those currently on a graduate visa.Additionally, candidates must have experience gained within UK accountancy practice.  We stipulate these criteria due to the high volume of applications from outside of the UK.
