Job Title: Administrator

Location: Dronfield (S18)
Salary: £22,388 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday)
Length of the contract: Permanent

Gi Group are now seeking to appoint an experienced Administrator to our Public Sector client based in Dronfield. The Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support from a centralised admin contact point and will manage tasks on a rota basis within the admin hub.

Duties of the Administrator

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for children's community services as part of the Single Point of Access.
  • Have a flexible approach to undertake duties and travel to sites in Derbyshire on occasion to support administration functions when required and to cover sickness and annual leave.
  • Be competent and confident to input information/records within guidelines onto the system, as well as scan paperwork and action tasks in a timely manner within a 24-hour window.
  • Effectively communicate with staff groups across Derbyshire by email, text, and telephone.
  • Liaisie with parents and carers in order to capture essential information.
  • Manage tasks on a rota basis within the admin hub, including collection of mail, processing domestic violence, and midwifery information etc.
  • Cover sickness and absence.
  • Respond to all public and staff enquiries by phone regarding appointments and general enquiries as both the centralised admin hub and Single Point of Access.
  • Provide and receive sensitive information regarding child protection issues.
  • Observe and maintain strict confidentiality with regards to any patient, family, or staff records and information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.


Role Criteria

  • GCSE English Grade C or equivalent
  • IT qualification e.g., ECDL, CLAIT, or the ability to demonstrate IT skills
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to work
  • Previous clerical or administrative experience
  • Understanding the importance of confidentiality and data protection
  • Experience using Public Sector systems
  • Experience of working with the public
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Numeracy skills
  • Ability to work flexibly between the admin hub and SPA
  • Ability to provide a welcoming environment for service users, health professionals, and members of the public.
