Job Description

Working alongside game artists, software engineers, games designers and embedded QA, the role is to bridge the gap between those teams by implementing Artwork into the Unity production pipeline, creating shaders and game FX.


As a company who are 4 to 5 years into their Unity development experience, the level of technical ability of the creative team is wide, and a large part of the role will be to help accelerate newcomers' development at the lower end and push the boundaries with more experienced colleagues.


Coupled with this, the role will also involve documenting techniques for future use, both in text for our company intranet and by video tutorials.


The candidate will also be able to diagnose in-game inefficiencies and provide a suite of solutions that are appropriate to the spread of hardware platforms our content is hosted on.


The candidate will be:


  • Implementing Artwork in Unity
  • Ensure creation vision specified is maintained
  • Creating shaders
  • Streamlining game performance
  • Elevating team technical skills on an ongoing basis
  • Rapid prototyping


Essential


  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Expert level Unity experience as a technical artist
  • Good working knowledge of both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects


Desirable


  • Knowledge of Spine
  • Knowledge of Animation
  • Coding / prototyping skills
  • Strong creative streak
  • Knowledge of the Gambling industry
