A unique opportunity to join a pre-seed early-stage Ed-Tech software company with a brilliant platform that is set to revolutionise the way students learn in immersive and realistic environments. This company which is founded by experts in education has a platform in place but now needs an expert in AI to take the platform to the next level using generative AI techniques. This early-stage hire is already earmarked to head up the tech team in the future, and needs an AI Specialist who will thrive within a start-up environment.

Please note employment for this role will commence in October 2024, so may not be suited to those seeking immediate employment. However, may be well suited to a professional who has returned to University to complete a Masters or Ph.D. further into their career.


Location: 4 days a week remote - 1 day in office in Cambridge. Part-time working options available (minimum of 3 days per week)


Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + options + benefits

Requirements for AI Technical Lead:

• Experienced in AI Development covering machine learning, generative AI, natural language processing and computer vision
• Strong project management experience, with any project management certifications a plus
• Strong Python & C++ experience
• Keen to work in a start-up environment as an early-stage employee
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work with autonomy and as part of a team
• Great communication skills with fluent spoken and written English
• Any experience with VR would be beneficial, or AR/VR platforms like Unity or Unreal Engine
  
  

Responsibilities for AI Technical Lead:

This role will cover two key areas covering both the AI Development on the VR Platform and looking after related projects including:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI and VR applications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to incorporate AI and VR technologies into existing products and services.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI and VR, recommending innovative solutions.
• Debug, test, and optimise AI and VR applications to ensure they perform efficiently and responsively.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, developers, and management, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Track project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective risk management strategies.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication across project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
