Airport Security Officer Approximate salary including shift pay and allowances up to £32,000 based on our Fx roster shifts and an average of 40 hours per weekIf  you have experience delivering a great customer experience, we are looking for enthusiastic people to join our diverse team and to Grow with Gatwick.To ensure an excellent experience for our passengers we are actively recruiting security officers, to continue our growth and, to help us prepare for Summer 2023. We will onboard successful applications as soon as possible after the necessary checks have been completed.What is the role?As a Security Officer, you will screen all passengers and staff entering secure areas of the airport. This important role keeps people at the airport safe, and in return, you'll encounter countless different people and experiences every single day. You will maintain our high standards and do so with a smile, always providing a great experience for our passengers.  You can expect to work a shift pattern across all days of the week, including early shifts from 2.45am and late shifts that finish at 11.30pm.  What will you do?After successfully completing training and passing the NXCT exams:Work in a small team with other security officers and the wider airport team to deliver great passenger experiencesComplete regular training to maintain our high screening standards and that of our regulator the CAACheck identification / travel documents and perform full security screening for all passengers and staff entering secure areas.Use colour based X-Ray images to screen bags identifying all objects within themAssist with health, safety or security incidentsProvide information for passengers about the airport and facilitiesWork alongside external airport partners to keep things running smoothlyFollow safe working practices Do you have what we're looking for? We're looking for people who: Are ready to go above and beyond for customer care and serviceAre eager to learn, follow and coach others on our policies and proceduresHave previous experience of working in a busy, customer-based service roleAre flexible, with the ability to complete many tasks on time and to a high standardSpeaking other languages is helpful, but not essentialWhat's it like to work here?Our employees tell us that working here is something special.
