Job Title: Analyst for Sales, Marketing & Investor Relations

Reporting to: Head of Capital Fund-Raisings

Location: Central London office, some remote working possible.

Salary: Competitive depending on experience + Bonus + Benefits

The Company

EMV Capital Ltd (EMVC) is a London-based FCA-authorised VC company, focused on the deep tech and life sciences sectors. EMVC is a subsidiary of NetScientific PLC, an AIM-quoted company, with 23 portfolio companies in the UK and internationally.

We add value through the proactive management of its portfolio, progressing to key value inflection points, and delivering investment returns through partial or full liquidity events. 

Our investment practice works alongside other parts of the business to develop winning investment solutions for its portfolio companies, from pre-Series A through to growth stages. Our corporate finance function includes EIS and family office practices ,and also works with corporate VC.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an Analyst to support the Head of Capital Fund-Raisings and Principals in the business, and in their interactions with Corporate, Institutional and Family Office investors. This hands-on position will play a vital role in supporting our corporate finance efforts in building support for our portfolio companies, building relationships with investors and following through to investment close.

This is the right role for someone who is not afraid of the stretch between “glamour and grafting”; ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wants to get hands-on exposure to investors, portfolio companies and internal processes at a leading and dynamic VC firm, with a view to furthering their career in Capital Raising

Responsibilities

Corporate Finance team Support

  • Assisting the corporate finance team with day-to-day tasks, ranging from support of fund-raising campaigns to arranging, participating and detailed documenting of interaction with investor.
  • Researching Investors.
  • Preparing or supporting the preparation of sales materials, presentations, and proposals.
  • Maintaining and updating CRM database (Salesforce) to ensure data accuracy, including logging meetings, interactions, and delegating and managing tasks.
  • Supporting the coordination of sales meetings and follow-ups.

Marketing Support

  • Aiding in the implementation of marketing and fund-raising campaigns across various channels, including digital and social media.
  • Assisting in content creation for marketing materials, such as blog posts, social media posts, and email newsletters.
  • Utilising Salesforce to implement and manage campaigns to track performance metrics such as leads generated and conversion rates.
  • Conducting market research and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Assisting in the organisation of promotional events, trade shows, and other marketing activities.

Administrative Support

  • Driven by the awareness that attention to detail, administrative tasks and other responsibilities that appear mundane at first glance, in fact create important value.
  • Providing general administrative support to the corporate finance team, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  • Assisting in maintaining inventory of marketing materials and office supplies.
  • Helping in organizing and maintaining files, records, and documents.
  • Handling incoming calls and inquiries and direct them to the appropriate team member.

Qualifications / Personal Specification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, or related field.
  • Strong experience (or demonstrable interest) in investments, venture capital desired.
  • Corporate finance experience particularly advantageous.
  • Deeptech sectors experience or related technology affinity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; not afraid of picking up the phone.
  • Genuine desire to learn, not just about the investment world.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software or willingness to learn rapidly (CRM training will be provided).
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive self-starter.
