Ampere Analysis is a research and analytics firm focusing on the film, TV, and communications sectors. Ampere works with an extensive range of media and communications companies, including Hollywood studios, public broadcasting groups, online video providers, pay TV operators and telecoms groups. They are looking to recruit a full-time Analyst, who is inquisitive with a passion for data and research, to join the Analytics team.


The role will be focused on understanding film and TV licensing patterns across subscription and free-to-access video-on-demand products and broadcast TV channels.


Main responsibilities...


  • Join a team of globally acclaimed experts in the media and entertainment industry in the heart of London to learn and build experience in the sector
  • Explore and research the fast-changing evolving business models and latest trends in advertising, content, television, digital media & services
  • Develop your skills in a data-driven environment, helping to create solutions to solve real-world problems for some of the largest media companies in the world
  • Continue to grow and enhance your skills in building relationships with key players in the industry, as well as potentially see your research published in global publications


Role Requirements...


  • A 2:1 or equivalent degree
  • Experience or an understanding of data analysis and visualisation
  • Enthusiasm: those who enjoy research and have (or could develop) an interest in becoming an expert in the entertainment sector
  • Communication: able to build trust and cooperative colleague and client relationships.
  • Analytical: A talent for seeing relationships and patterns in data is key – understanding and really getting to grips with the nuances that underpin the video advertising and content industries
  • Flexible: Enjoy learning and building skills (like data modelling, data analysis & industry knowledge etc.)
  • Lateral thinking: Thinking outside of the box to generate solutions to challenges & helping clients with more open-ended problems
  • Good written English and ability to write in a sensitive, yet concise, style.

  • The role is primarily office-based – currently in Clerkenwell with flexibility to work two days from home if you wish to.
  • Working hours are 9 / 9.30am to 6pm five days / week (see summer hours exception below)
  • 25 days holiday each year (not including Bank Holidays), three of which must be taken over the Christmas shutdown
  • During the summer, finish work at 1pm every Friday
  • It’s an informal and fun place to work with plenty of social activities (after work)
