Senior Analyst (Chemistry)

Based in Kent

Job Summary:
We are looking for a hardworking Senior Analyst, with key experience in Analytical Chemistry and particular skills in HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV-Vis. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the company's products meet all applicable standards for quality and safety. They must follow company processes and protocols and ensure that product safety and quality are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, along with dissolution testing.
- Maintain laboratory instruments and oversee the work of junior staff, offering troubleshooting expertise.
- Investigate quality events such as Out-Of-Specification results, deviations, CAPA, etc.
- Develop and validate new methods in compliance with analytical and business needs.
- Develop and write technical reports in accordance with the company’s internal and external standards.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Support and collaborate with other departments where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a GMP Pharmaceutical laboratory using HPLC, GC, FTIR, etc.
- A degree or equivalent in analytical chemistry or a related field.
- Experience in method validation and analytical data interpretation.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; team working and organization are essential.
