Job Description

Role: Apparel Product Developer Location: London office (near Tottenham Court Road)Working Pattern: 5 days in-office Your newpany:This brand is part of a wider apparel group, with reputable global brands. This group is a producer and distributor of sportswear and accessories. This brand has recently been acquired by the group, and so they are looking for someone toe in and hit the ground running, make it their own.What you’ll need to succeed: Experience required: Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Apparel Product Development role within the sportswear, activewear, and athleisure industry across both men's and womenswear.Specifically: In-depth knowledge of garment construction techniques with a good understanding of pattern cutting.Experience in technical fabrics and performance garment constructionsExperience in dealing with suppliers based in the Far East.Extensive background in fit, fabric development, finishes, and construction details.Experience working on a wholesale business model.Experience in sport accessories development is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelRoles and Responsibilities:Participate in creating the seasonal calendar.Develop the assigned styles/collections in cooperation with Designers, internal teams, and suppliers of approximately 200 SKUS per season.Work on multiple seasons at once across a large collection both men’s and women’s.Source and develop new fabrics seasonally, ensuring they are within cost using your knowledge and fabric sheets arepleted.Day-to-day factory liaison.Coordinate and monitor all activities regarding the development, approval, andmunication of all fabric, trimming, and accessory suppliers.Give clear instructions to the factories and ensure the samples are made to the correct specifications.Be responsible for creating measurements charts, measuring garments for UK and Global teams.Organise and manage fitting session and provide fittingments to the suppliers from the proto stage till production orders.Contribute to the development process actively by proposing alternative garment execution, to fully optimise garment targets of design, quality, and price.Manage and execute time and action plans and ensure on-time delivery of samples in good execution, quality and fit.etc. What you’ll get in return:Discounts.Short leave.Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays.
