iO Associates Application Engineer Opportunity

iO Associates have partnered with a highly innovative Sensor Technology company based in Birmingham in the search for an Application Engineer to join their growing team. They have developed a patented sensor technology that is going revolutionise the cleaning process within FMCG Manufacturing. The start up company is VC backed and is now ready for a full-scale launch of its amazing products.

They need an Application Engineer with a background in Chemical or Process Engineering and knowledge of P&ID to help them take the business to the next level. In this dynamic role you will start by being hands-on in the lab to develop a detailed understanding of the product. After the initial training period, you will be speaking to and visiting clients' sites to understand their needs and reviewing the P&IDs to understand the installation requirements. You will advise on how the product is best utilized to offer maximum efficiency and productivity benefits to them.

You will be analyzing data from installations and reporting on cost savings for customers, taking their feedback and identifying new customer applications. You'll need a strong grounding in physics, maths, and engineering principles with the initiative and hunger to get stuck in with the hands-on work as well as customer-facing activities.

To be successful you will need:

  1. MEng/BEng Chemical or Process Engineering
  2. Understanding of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  3. Knowledge of data analytics such as Python or R
  4. Ability and desire for international travel
  5. Desire to develop new skills
  6. IT literate, proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
  7. 1-3 years experience in the FMCG Manufacturing sector (Desirable)
