Job Description

OTC Industrial Technologies is looking for an Application Engineer to join our team in West Chester, OH!



As an Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in the design, troubleshooting and installation of company equipment. The Application Engineer will also be responsible for the schedule layout, procurement and analysis of technical specification, and component documents for the company and customer equipment.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist Engineers with technical data, specification development and CADD drawings.
  • Review project specifications to determine scope of work and require content of estimate
  • Prepare detailed listing of material and equipment items for the estimate and to obtain quotes.
  • Work with OTC Vendors to solicit accurate quotes for required equipment in a timely manner, which allows for time to review before bid date.
  • Review and analyze current standard operating procedures and schedule for revision, also assist in development of new procedures.
  • Review quotes for completeness and conformance with plans and specs.
  • Create proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects
  • Perform quarterly technical reviews with existing key accounts.
  • Work with other internal teams to make sure proposal, pricing and design standards are met.


What You'll Need:

  • Minimum 3 years working in either engineering, project management, or compressed air service.
  • Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings.
  • Proficient in CADD software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required
