Job Description

Reporting into the research principal, you will be working as part of a growing research team dealing with some complex and challenging problems which will truly impact their EdTech product capability.

As a specialist in Computervision you will research, manage and develop approaches to their classroom technology and support development of product capability centred around student engagement, understanding and feature development. You will lead on projects in the areas of:

  • Multiple object tracking.
  • Occluded video instance segmentation.

To be effective in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of AI technologies, strong problem solving, and work effectively with engineers, project managers, and other researchers to innovate BYJUS products. A deep understanding of AI and Computervision is needed to identify impactful problems and propose effective solutions and influence the direction of our capability. Depending on your scope, you would be required to lead and motivate other scientists or engineers to develop workstream and product concepts.

The Successful Applicant

Applied Research Scientist / Engineer - Computer Vision field

Candidates should have experience in some of the following:

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in computer science, or related technical, math, or Computervision field
  • Strong knowledge and experience in applied research and/or engineering in one or more of the following computervision areas:
  • Multiple object tracking.
  • Occluded video instance segmentation.
  • Pose tracking.
  • Being able to identify high-impact problems and execute complex research and development projects in Computervisionn
  • Hands-on experience in building models with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, or similar.
  • Fluent in at least one programming language, preferably Python
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively internally within and between
