Job Description

JOB PURPOSEThe role of the Apprentice Vehicle Technician is to:è Observe and gain knowledge of how to carry out the correct method of repair and maintenance of manufacturer vehicles.è Assist in the repairs, routine maintenance and diagnostic work on manufacturer vehicles as per written instructions or as directed by the manager/supervisor.è Undertake training as agreed; attend all relevant training and college courses as required.WorkshopWorkshop Controller and Aftersales ManagerN/AKEY RESPONSIBILITIESè Under supervision, carry out work on vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer’s procedures.è Ensure all work carried out is completed accurately.è To report, using the correct procedures, any additional work found during repair/inspection.è Accurately complete job cards, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed.è Ensure that own tools and tools of the company are kept clean and are maintained in a serviceable condition.è Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.Skills & RequirementsEssentialè Smart appearance.è Energy and enthusiasmè Attention to detailè Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT.Desirableè Full UK driving licence.The Harwoods WayHarwoods Group is a values led, family owned automotive retail group that was founded in 1931.
