Job Title: Apprentice Production/Welding Engineer Location: Haverhill, Suffolk Salary: Age 16-17 £6.00 p/h and 18-20 £8.00 P/H Candidates aged 20 and over is negotiable Hours: 4 days on site per week, 1 day at WSC in Bury St Edmunds Contract Type: Full time, permanent Our client based in Haverhill is looking for an Apprentice Production/Welding Engineer with an interest in engineering to join their team on a two year apprenticeship learning different roles within an engineering environment including Mig/Tig welding.

As Apprentice Production/Welding Engineer you will be responsible for: Learning how to Mig,Tig weld various materials Assisting Punch/Laser/Press Operator and learn how to set up and operate the different machines Assisting in the machine shop drilling, tapping, countersinking, milling, turning, inserting and sawing Assisting the Security Door Team with assembly, wrapping and packing Assist in the Security Department with engraving, stud welding, and various assembly duties Additional duties as required.
An ideal candidate for the Apprentice Production/Welding Engineer will have: An interest in engineering The drive to commit to a two year apprenticeship Team player mentality.
Ideally you will have experience within a similar position.
