PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITYOrganisation: Leicestershire County CouncilLocation: Police stations mainly around Leicester city, occasionally across the countyHours: We suggest 1 day or 2 half days a week, flexible on a rota basis between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a difference?About the RoleOur Appropriate Adults support children suspected of committing a crime who are detained and/or interviewed by police under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.The role of the Appropriate Adult is to safeguard the interests, rights, entitlements and welfare of children who are suspected of a criminal offence, ensuring that they are treated in a fair and just manner, and are able to participate effectively.You do not need any specific education, experience or formal qualifications.
