To learn more about our purpose, culture, and priorities, visit our . Within our consult business, we harness our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project. The project: This is an exciting opportunity as we are growing our design team within the North of England to service the ‘Consult’ engine across our Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham offices.The role will be based out of our new Leeds office and the successful candidate will work alongside a senior architect and a multi-disciplined design team on the development of feasibility studies under our technical advisors (TA) role for the department for education as well as several key appointments for local authorities. As such, a key requirement for this role is the willingness to learn as there are a series of technical specifications and processes that are involved in the delivery of this work. Day to day tasks will include the preparation of drawings, schedules, graphics, technical reports and client and design team meetings.You’ll be responsible for: Responsible for delivering delegated elements of the developing design as per contract requirements. Ensures training is kept up to date gaining a clear understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements. Engages with business improvement directives. Provides guidance & coaching to more junior roles. Develops working relationships with (range of) internal stakeholders. Works with team members providing operational delivery of team/regional strategy etc. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. You’ll need to have: A positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude. Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. Be a team player to work effectively as part of a wider team. Knowledge of UK building regulations. Proficiency using AutoCAD/Revit along with the Adobe Creative Suite. You’ll also have: Some experience in a UK-based architectural practice working on education projects will be advantageous but not necessary. Part 2 (Architectural Masters) architectural qualification or equivalent.
