Job Description

An established studio in West London is looking for an ambitious Architectural Assistant with a minimum of 3 years experience to join their team. The team currently consists of 30 designers and architects who work on award-winning beautiful resorts and residential projects across EMEA, with a predominantly UK workload that has been expanding geographically over the past 2/3 years.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects and gain exposure to all RIBA stages. You will have experience of supporting projects within a small team. You will work alongside contractors, participate in contract negotiations, and be part of planning applications as well as many on-site project meetings. This role is not sector-specific, giving you the chance to work on a range of hospitality and residential-led schemes and broaden your portfolio of work. The firm works with exclusive operators and HNWIs on prestigious schemes.


This is a role for designers who want to be heard and have say within a design team, have an agile flexi-working day, and be responsible for their own deliverables. The company has a flat hierarchy which allows for accelerated career progression and autonomy. The team also steers away from egos and office politics and focuses on new ways of working, open to ideas including yours.


Responsibilities:

- Work on super prime residential projects in London, including refurbishments and basement builds

- Work on listed or heritage properties with particular planning restraints

- Support on small residential or hospitality high-quality projects through all RIBA Work Stages

- Initiate strong design ideas and join a collaborative design process


Experience and Skills:

- Over 3 years of experience post-Part II

- Experienced in putting together tender packages

- Strong Vectorworks skills

- Strongly curated portfolio of work for high-end residential and hospitality

- Creative thinker and hands-on with strong attention to detail

- Detailed knowledge of design styles

- Understanding of the high-end property industry

- Strong knowledge of the processes and inputs involved in high-end residential construction and refurbishment projects

- Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK


The company offers a policy of 3 days in the office and 3 days working from home, with flexible start and end times and core hours from 10-4.
