Architectural Metalwork Designer/ Draughtsman

Berkshire

Up to £50k per annum + Travel Allowance + Bonus + Additional Pension Contribution


Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design, possess strong technical skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment. As a Draughtsman, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of our bespoke balcony solutions, ensuring precision, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into detailed technical drawings.
  • Utilise CAD software to create 2D and 3D models of balcony designs, considering structural integrity, aesthetics, and functionality.
  • Prepare comprehensive drawings, plans, and schematics for client approval, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing purposes.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather relevant information for design implementation.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback, engineering calculations, and project specifications.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless transition from design to fabrication, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance design processes and product quality.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during client consultations and presentations.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Proven experience as a Draughtsman, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD softwares and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a keen eye for design aesthetics.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and codes is advantageous.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous design work and projects is preferred.
