£32,020- £38,296 per annum

Permanent & Full time, 37 hours week, Monday to Friday with a range of flexibilities, including hybrid working, aligned to our Worksmart arrangements

Based in Honiton, Devon (with travel across the district as required)

Additional benefits include, Local Government Pension & holiday entitlement of 25 days per year rising to 28 days after 5 years of service, plus public holidays

About the role As an Area Building Surveyor, you will provide complete building surveying services across the council's diverse non-housing property assets within a geographical area.

You will support the Team in achieving the Council's priorities and objectives, and take a lead role in providing facilities management and building maintenance; including the delivery of reactive, planned and capital works, life cycle planning and landlord health & safety compliance.

About you You will have a HNC or equivalent in a building related subject, have excellent IT skills and knowledge in construction, building regulations and contract administration as well as able to demonstrate experience of managing maintenance or construction works.

Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a 'can-do attitude', you will also have good attention to detail and the ability to work effectively on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

You must hold a valid driving licence (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
