Position Overview:


As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals and driving revenue growth within your designated area. Leveraging your expertise in sales management and engineering products, you will develop and execute strategic sales plans, cultivate client relationships, and identify opportunities for business expansion. This role offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role in driving the success of our sales team and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company.


  • Provide coaching and training to sales team members, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for business optimization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats.
  • Working closely with our Service Department and Sales Engineer to ensure an excellent standard of after sales service is provided.
  • Demonstrate and upsell Energy savings and data logging to existing, new and potential customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product management, and customer service, to ensure alignment of sales strategies and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Sales or Service experience
  • Experience in the compressed air industry would be great, but is not essential. If you are willing to learn, we are happy to teach.
  • A mechanical or electrical engineering qualification – although this is desirable rather than essential.
  • The ability to travel in and around the South East area on a daily basis.
  • A full clean driving license.
  • Excellent general computer skills.
  • A good standard of presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed.
