Senior CPU Architect-ARM Job Overview:

Arm is building a team to develop outstanding silicon demonstrators based on Arm’s IP compute sub-system solutions and addressing markets such as premium mobile, infrastructure and automotive. Using the latest nodes, e.g. 3nm today and applying the latest SoC 2.5D and 3D packaging developments, Arm’s initial ambition is to demonstrate industry leading performance by architecting, designing, implementing, and fabricating pioneering silicon test chips. This is an exciting and unique initiative, where we are bringing in innovative talent and expertise from across the semiconductor industry to drive how the next generation of leading compute on Arm devices are built across the industry, opening up significant potential for the future.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing CPU performance, power, cost and understanding technology limitations we need to breakthrough
  • Collaborating with the Architects at Arm to develop of key technologies that will ensure that our CPUs remain best-in-class
  • Defining the cluster solutions of tomorrow based on Arm CPUs
  • Developing knowledge of the competitive landscape and a understanding of technologies needed to for solutions such as Infrastructure, Computer Vision, Machine Learning ..
Qualifications and Experience

A good university degree in computers, or equivalent – with 4 to 10 years of proven experience in CPU performance /Soc Performance.

Required Skills and Experience :
  • You have knowledge and experience of CPU architecture/microarchitecture built through, prior development/research work in CPU/System performance analysis/modeling/design and/or, workload analysis/characterization/software optimization
  • You are able to work efficiently alone as well as part of geographically distributed teams across multiple groups
  • You are driven to innovate, think different, explore new avenues, and influence collaborators through detailed investigations
Nice To Have Skills and Experience :
  • Prior experience working on advanced CPU techniques, from branch prediction to prefetchers (micro-architecture, design etc.)
  • Skills in CPU performance analysis and/or modeling
  • Knowledge of workload analysis, characterization, and/or optimizing open source software
  • You thrive in an open work environment that provides an opportunity to impact products and roadmaps with your ideas/prototypes/empirical analysis
