Hours: 9am – 5pm

Salary: £24,000 per annum

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team and ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate will have a previous manufacturing/engineering/product background and be looking to develop their career within a SME with ambitious growth plans.


The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assembly Technician to join our growing team. In this role you will carry out the assembly of electro-mechanical equipment for the entertainment industry, and provide workshop engineering support where required.

The successful candidate will be required to assemble equipment in line with specifications, work closely with other departments to ensure assembly is accurate, carry out work in line with agreed schedules whilst ensuring quality is maintained, resolve any issues that may be encountered, maintain a safe working environment, clean and maintain tools/equipment and order and collect parts when required.

This role involves skilled assembly work in a fast-paced environment and it is essential that applicants have a sound mechanical background. Experience with reading technical drawings is advantageous. You will need to be technically minded and be able to get up to speed with the product range quickly; this position is very hands-on.


The Person:

The successful candidate MUST:

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a relevant industry, ideally within the electro-mechanical manufacturing sector
  • Demonstrate relevant education on their CV, with qualifications in one or more of the following: Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, General Science or similar
  • Be proficient and experienced in the use of engineering workshop hand tools and power tools and have knowledge of general engineering practices, for example drilling and tapping
  • Have the ability to work autonomously using their own initiative, with excellent attention to detail
  • Possess strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Have experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Have experience in one or more of the following: mechanical assembly; electrical assembly; cabling and wiring; plumbing.

Candidates invited for interview will be expected to complete a practical test to demonstrate their competence.

This is a permanent role and will be subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary review. Candidates will ideally be based within a 30-minute commute of EX2 5GL.
