What the client is looking for:
- 5-10 years' experience as a technician
- Experience building conveyor systems or special purpose machinery.
- Hands on experience assembling electromechanical systems, including soldering, cable crimping, cable assembly, mechanical parts assembly.
- Able to understand technical drawings.
- Ability to use CAD software such as Solidworks.
- Experience of soldiering of PCB assemblies.
- Experience with pneumatic systems.
- Experience working with stepper motors, servo motors, automatic material handling systems.
- Experience with operating CNC machines, lathes, pillar drills.
What you will be doing:
- The automation technician will be making an important contribution in facilitating rearing of sterile insects with automated production systems.
- Ensuring smooth operation of the production system, maintenance and repair of the system.
- Taking the designs / assembly drawing off engineers, checking all parts are correct preparing them to assemble, making sure all levelling is correct.
