The role

The Asset Development Manager roles are fundamental to supporting Manchester Airport’s growth ambitions through ensuring the appropriate infrastructure is in place at the right time. This could be in the guise of new facilities providing additional capacity; infrastructure that increases yield, or facilitating adherence to new regulations imposed on the Airport.

We have 3 positions available, one in Landside, one in Terminals and one in Airside. In each of these roles you will need to engage with internal and external stakeholders to establish the business needs and develop asset plans that drive best value for the Airport, engaging with design and delivery teams to take concept through to feasibility and ultimately delivery. You will work closely with the Masterplanning team to translate the 5-25 year masterplan into a tangible delivery plan and ensure any new developments align with the longer term Airport strategy.

The Landside Asset Development Manager will focus primarily on the estate external to the Terminal and Airfield. This includes, but is not limited to, car parks; internal and external road network and public transport facilities; and interfaces with MAG Property.

The Airside Asset Development Manager will focus primarily on the Airfield estate. This includes, but is not limited to; provision of significant additional stand capacity; interactions with terminal expansions; enhancements operational capability; and new technology to support.

The Terminal Asset Development Manager will focus primarily on the Terminal buildings. This includes, but is not limited to; provision of additional processing capacity to meet future demand; development of a new/expanded Terminal 3 and retail yield enhancing opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven stakeholder management skills and an ability to develop comprehensive business cases. The ideal candidate will have experience in solutioning and optioneering, with a keen ability to balance conflicting needs effectively. Additionally, the ability to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment is essential.
