Role objective

The New Energy Division is dedicated to facilitating the transition from finite resource-powered energy to a sustainable world driven by renewable sources. Our mission is to invest in groundbreaking technologies such as solar, wind, energy storage, and electric transportation, while maintaining a focus on long-term sustainability and returns. Despite the ever-evolving energy landscape, regulatory challenges, and complex risks, our team is committed to making a positive impact.

As an Asset Manager within our New Energy Division, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing critical operational aspects of our UK energy market operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in an environment characterized by rapid change and innovation. You will have ample prospects for personal and professional growth within the specialized field of alternative asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure continuous compliance with technical and operational obligations, including legal, warranty, business plan, environmental standards, health and safety protocols, and more.
  • Provide ad-hoc project support and coordinate subcontractors as needed.
  • Take responsibility for maximizing the availability of our entire portfolio.
  • Supervise the Pre-Activation Checks (PAC), Initial Activation Checks (IAC), and Final Activation Checks (FAC) processes for our storage, solar, and wind assets.
  • Manage on-site operations and maintenance providers, maintain service records, oversee maintenance systems, address regulatory requirements (e.g., new services, emissions monitoring), and manage health and safety practices.
  • Conduct reporting, analysis, and modelling of various assets, with a primary focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Be actively involved in physical operations and provide technical support, including reporting on operations, site dispatch, ESS service performance, utilization of SCADA systems, and analysis of system performance. You'll also engage in site visits and collaborate with Technical Advisers.
  • Collaborate closely with other Asset Managers to ensure the optimal performance of all our assets.

Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally, you should have experience in the renewable energy sector or a related industry. Your willingness to be part of a leading BESS organization with ambitious expansion plans is highly valued.
  • If you are passionate about contributing to the renewable energy transformation and are looking for a dynamic role in a fast-paced, innovative environment, we encourage you to apply for this position. Your expertise and dedication will be instrumental in achieving our mission of sustainable, renewable energy solutions.
