Company description: Natures Aid Job description: Accounts Assistant Preston, Lancashire, PR4 2DQ Hybrid role: minimum of 3 days in the office and 2 from home per week. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial and accounting activities, including month-end reporting, reconciliations, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Main responsibilities: Prepare and compile reports for the monthly management meeting pack, including financial performance, flash sales, and liquidity reporting. Liquidity Reporting Actual/Forecast Role month end forward Assist with the processing of Amazon rebate allocation and STADA reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submissions. Ensure accurate posting of contra ledger entries. Oversee bank reconciliations, assist with cash flow reporting, and maintain the fixed asset register, including monthly reconciliations and depreciation journal entries. Liaise with the purchase ledger team regarding payments and review unmatched deliveries report for month-end reconciliation. Manage month-end processes, including the reconciliation of intercompany accounts, preparation of foreign currency journals, and production of stock valuation reports. Conduct nominal analysis and product analysis reporting to support financial decision-making. Prepare and submit PAYE, AEO, Corporation Tax, P11D payments, and monthly pension contributions. Support the year-end stocktake process and assist with year-end audit activities, including the submission of National Statistic forms. Provide effective cover for other team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data. (look-ups, macros, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external auditors. Part qualified CIMA/ACCA Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including tax, pension, and statutory reporting obligations. Desirable: Previous experience working within Manufacturing/ FMCG industries.
