The Assistant Buyer role will support the Senior Buyer to bring the most compelling range and great value products to our customers.   This is fast-paced role supporting the Senior Buyer and wider team, working across a wide range of exciting products in our Small Domestic Appliances category.   To support your development, you’ll have the opportunity to complete a Level 4 apprenticeship Buying & Merchandising! You'll be able to start your apprenticeship after 3 months of joining the team (subject to eligibility).   Role overview:   As part of this role, you'll be responsible for: Supporting the buyer with management of SharkNinja Partnership in line with our overall commercial supplier strategy and the category strategy Working with SharkNinja to develop a strong understanding of the future technology roadmap, enabling the category to adequately plan ahead for likely changes in customer trends and demand Supporting the buyer in Negotiating product ranges – cost pricing, additional terms, exclusivity, distribution, stock availability Supporting the Go To Market manager with Instore Activations and Above the line campaigns  Negotiating promotional funding support to drive sales while maintaining margin in line with financial objectives Pricing the product range in line with agreed category CPI targets Management of the promotional plans and sales out allowances.  Working closely with buyer and the category planner to secure supplier support to drive additional sales and margin where opportunity for upside exists, and particularly to mitigate risks against committed financial objectives  Answering any store feedback specific to range and promotions  Daily competitor checks to ensure that CPI targets are met but also ensure that the buyer is aware   You will need: Good planning, organisational and multitasking skills Good judgment and decision-making skills to enable the right actions for the category Numerical and analytical skills to review data and provide recommendations/actions plans to drive sales, profit and cash Good inter-personal and communication skills, capable of working cross functionally to achieve the desired results Customer champion with excellent commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs Good working knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as MS Office workflow tools Marketing/Merchandising/Retail/Business Degree or the equivalent   We know our people are the secret to our success.
