We are looking for passionate and ambitious Assistant Nursery Chef/Cook who will prepare nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals and be responsible for the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen. About the job:Provide balanced and nutritional meals for all children attending the nursery and catering for children with specific dietary needsInstill Storal Values to Food and Hygiene and compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health ad Safety and within the guidelines of OfstedEnsure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiencesMaintaining stock levels and ensuring stock rotation To be aware of COSHH and follow relevant guidelines To deputise for the Cook in all absences with the expectation of deputising full time when this is required About you:Level 2 Food and HygieneMinimum of 6 months experience in a similar roleUnderstanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHHReflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working togetherWhat we can offer you:Salary: From £10.42 up to £11.56 per hour based on experience and qualificationsStoral will cover the cost of transport to the nursery settingAnnual wellness day off Company sick pay50% childcare discountAccess to retail and other discounts through Perkbox Holidays increasing to 22 days after 2 years service and 25 days after 5 years servicePerformance related bonusesDedicated learning and development supportAccess to one-to-one confidential counselling sessions through our Employee Assistance ProgrammeStoral is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
