Assistant Commercial Finance Accountant

The Role:
The Havas Media Commercial team is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Commercial Finance Accountant to get involved with forecasting and reporting across several agencies. The role will be key in providing support to financial decisions across the organisation and improve planning and business intelligence processes/software on an on-going basis. The ideal candidate will be confident in using Excel and possess analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for forecast meetings with the account teams by updating and reviewing projects/spend in the short and long term.
- Month End preparation and analysis, including reviewing transactions and advising Finance on accruals and deferrals, and investigating and reporting on variances versus forecasts.
- Updating and reporting on the weekly capacity planner to help with resource planning.
- Reconciliations between accounting forecasting tools such as Jira, 360 and pulse to ensure accuracy of data.
- Support on new business by providing financial data on pitches and reporting.
- Ownership of Freelancer tracking, forecasting and month end reporting
- Produce monthly time reconciliation and utilisation reports at Agency and client / department level for multiple agencies.
- Work with the business to provide ad hoc analysis and provide solutions to any reporting requirements.
