Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY
An excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the team, managing a variety of day-to-day legal matters autonomously, developing innovative solutions. The Assistant Corporate Counsel will support senior lawyers within the UK legal team, actively contributing to the successful strategy and culture of the UK Legal Team.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support the UK Legal team strategy and priorities.
  2. Support implementation of opportunities to innovate, refocus, develop or tailor the UK Legal team service taking account of business needs, financial constraints and industry developments.
  3. Advise on and draft/review/negotiate agreements, protecting Pfizer's interests.
  4. Advise on legal matters relating to products including launches and marketing campaigns, commercial offers, tenders and contracting.
  5. Proactively identify, educate and inform internal clients about legal issues and changes to the legal environment in order to pre-empt risks and allow Pfizer to gain the maximum benefit from legal advice.
  6. Actively participate in UK legal team strategic priorities.
  7. Share best practices across the UK legal team.
  8. Support more senior UK legal team members on more complex projects from conception to implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed to practice law in the UK.
  • Some relevant PQE.
  • Experience in the UK pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Able to cultivate strong relationships, build credibility and successfully influence colleagues in a fast-paced business climate.
  • Highly organised and proactive; anticipates needs and able to prioritize quickly.
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to effectively manage routine matters with little supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of initiative and strong orientation towards results.
  • Good negotiation skills.

Work Location Assignment: On Premise.
