We currently have a great opportunity for an exceptional Human Resources and Organisational Development (HR and OD) professional with a proven track record of success in leading and developing a customer-focused HR and OD service. You will take the lead on HR and OD plans and initiatives that truly embed our values and support our strategic aims. Responsibilities include managing and building the capability of our HR and OD team, as well as streamlining and modernising all HR systems and processes.

This is an exciting time for the CSP as we continue to evolve, with the Head of HR and OD being a key player in this cultural change to ensure we are an increasingly influential organisation that is flexible, sustainable, and innovative. As part of our Leadership Group, you will need to be comfortable and assured advising at this level, as well as having the ability to drive change forward. You will already be a Chartered Member or Fellow of the CIPD, or have equivalent experience, combined with a significant track record of designing and leading culture-based change programmes.

We see our equity, diversity and belonging (inclusion) strategy as the most important piece of work to transform the organisation and profession in line with our ambitions. You would be responsible for a wide range of activities related to this strategy, including implementing new initiatives and reporting on progress. Therefore, to be successful, it is essential that you have a solid understanding of, and commitment to, equity, diversity and belonging, along with the knowledge and skills to incorporate this into every aspect of HR and OD work.

You would be looking at new ways to engage staff, with particular attention to bringing every individual closer to our vision and mission. This includes supporting managers in developing their own engagement skills and creating an environment where all staff can fulfil their potential.

This is a real opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation. It requires the ability to build strong working relationships of mutual respect internally and with external stakeholders. As a strategic thinker and natural leader, you will have the ability to empower and develop staff at all levels and deliver results through first-class people management and development.

If you understand organisational culture and its value in driving change, and you have the expertise and commitment to make it happen, we would like to hear from you.
