Assistant Domestic Abuse Practitioner
Salary: £20,319 proratada year
Location: Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire
The Vacancy
Hours per week: 15- weekend working
Contract type: Permanent
As an Assistant Domestic Abuse Practitioner at ourclients Stoke-on-Trent refuge, youll be the first point of contact for customers, external enquiries, referrals and admissions. Youll work with the team in refuge to support customers and their children, making sure they remain safe and well.
Job requirements
Complete referrals, risk and needs assessments with customers and agencies.
Support customers practically and emotionally with a person-centred, tailored approach to help them address and overcome their experiences of domestic abuse.
Monitor health and safety standards within the safe accommodation service and make sure customers comply with the terms of their support and tenancy agreements.
Manage refuge allocations and make sure any empty rooms are turned around quickly for the next customer.

Someone who is happy to work alone and comfortable during complex situations.
Someone with a genuine understanding of relationship abuse and the impact it has on victims.
Someone with great communication skills, who can build a rapport with customers.
A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the customer and service.
Great time management and the ability to prioritise high risk cases.
