The Assistant HR People Partner is an essential role that provides specialist advice, consultation and guidance to local management teams within the NHS Trust. Based in Cambridge the Human resources and personnel function are needing someone keen to make a real impact on the function and further improve the NHS

This Cambridge based role offers 3 days per week work form home on their flexible working policy and the opportunity to directly see the impact of the work that you take on and drive within HR

Description

The job duties of this Assistant HR People Partner position include

  • Acting as a people partner to directorates, senior management and their teams, in order to understand and meet their workforce requirements.
  • Providing expert advice and support on complex and sensitive HR cases, utilizing HR metrics to monitor performance, and working with management teams to review the workforce establishment plans.
  • Developing the management capability of line managers by coaching them and providing them with the knowledge and skills to handle staff management responsibilities in line with the Trust's strategic direction.
  • Act as an advocate of change, championing change through educating and informing staff and managers, while also fostering a positive climate of employee relations.
  • Staying up-to-date on current employment legislation and best practice is key in order to ensure that these are reflected in the Trust's working practices and operations.

Profile

The NHS Assistant HR People Partner does not require NHS experience but does need prior HR experience ideally at n advisory level along with;

  • Strong Communication skills and the ability to coach managers to improve HR processes
  • Good attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Have commenced or qualified with CIPD
  • Have compassion towards the critical work the NHS does with a focus on improving services to staff and therefore pass on well-being to patients
