The Role
Northeastern University London wishes to appoint an Assistant or Associate Professor(Teaching & Scholarship) in Accounting and Finance. The appointee will help develop ourUK undergraduate degree apprenticeship programmes in the area of Accounting andFinance and provide general service to the University within and across faculties. In thefirst instance, the successful candidate will be expected to lead the development anddelivery of the university’s online BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting and Finance degree
We wish to appoint a specialist in Accounting and Finance. Preference may be given tocandidates with experience of English apprenticeships, working with professional bodies,e.g., Institute of Financial Accountants, ACCA and CIMA, and active interests in therelationship of digital transformation and change management.

The appointee will work in a multidisciplinary, cross-faculty team responsible for thedegree apprenticeship programmes that span the Faculty of Social Sciences and theFaculty of Computing, Mathematics, Engineering and Natural Sciences.
The cross-faculty degree apprenticeship team uses innovative pedagogical approachesand best practices in digital education and collaboration to ensure an excellent learnerexperience for individuals or groups of learners, wherever they are based. The teamcurrently delivers a growing portfolio of work-related learning aligned to digitaltransformation, data science, artificial intelligence, clinical trials, project management, andaccounting & finance.

Qualifications● PhD completed, or near completion (all but dissertation), or equivalent professional
experience, in a relevant area.● FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or expected (desirable)
General Criteria● Demonstrates, through evidence, excellent ability to be adaptable, innovative, and
inclusive in teaching, and service.● Ability to develop excellent educational provision in areas with significant appeal to
students, including at postgraduate level.● Willingness and capacity to undertake continuous professional development in
relation to institutionally strategic themes, including but not limited to, technology,data, sustainability, and ethics.
● Flexibility and capacity to teach across a wide range of courses, withinterdisciplinary team members when appropriate.
● Teaching competency in Accounting and Finance to at least Level 6● Excellent ability to design and deliver courses on degree apprenticeship

Associate Professor:

● Teaching competency in Accounting and Finance to Levels 4–7 (undergraduateand postgraduate).
