An Assistant Private Secretary opportunity has be available on an interim basis for 6 months, working for a large centralernment department. This role does require someone who holds SC clearance.This role provides an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in the effective operation of the Chief Finance Officers’ Directorate. We are looking for an enthusiastic andmitted individual with exceptionalmunication skills who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of service and provide solutions.As Assistant Private Secretary, you will be responsible for providing direct administrative support to the Chief Finance Officer and will work closely with the directorate’s Senior Leadership Team and wider business functions to ensure the smooth operation of all office operations, which includes management of the Directors' busy diary and inbox and will require working work closely with the Private Secretaries and Business Managers across the Chief Finance Officer’s directorates to ensure seamless interaction between the different parts of the directorate.This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with experience of being able to multitask and prioritise tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office working on a one-to-one basis with the Director, and on a wider basis with internal and external stakeholders.Key accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:Supporting the Chief Finance Officer with appointment setting, calendar management, travel arrangements, and correspondenceActing as the point of contact between the Chief Finance Officer and internal and external colleagues, anticipating and determining their needs to ensure greater efficienciesHelping to manage the Chief Finance Officer’s in-box,missioning additional information where/when necessary, responding on behalf of the Directors and directing everyday activitiesCoordinating staff meetings, taking and disseminating meeting notes and action trackingOwnership of the Chief Finance Officer’s intranet content and SharePoint sites.Supporting arranging team away days and eventsEssential Criteria:Effective, strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to process a large quantity of information with pace and accuracy.Experience of working with a range of stakeholders across organisational and professional boundaries, building positive working relationships.Demonstrate self-motivation and pro-activity, with the ability to manage and prioritise your personal workload.Ability tomunicate effectively, written, and oral with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to manage multiple priorities on parallel andpeting deadlinesExperience of working both independently and as part of a team to achieve your goalAbility to develop and maintain relationships with others.What you'll get in returnA 6-month temporary assignment with the potential to be extended, the role is working inside IR35 and paying apetitive day rate through an Umbrellapany.
