Our vision is to be recognised as a world class healthcare business, bringing together the best people who are dedicated to developing excellent clinical environments and delivering the highest quality of patient care.We are committed to our employees, well-being through work life balance, on-going development, support and reward.Duties and responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative practitioner, the ATP will provide skilled assistance to the surgeon in the operating theatre scrub role for procedures in which they have been assessed as competent, from a narrow focus of minor elective procedures in the agreed scope of practice Prepare, supply and maintain all necessary instrumentation and equipment for the specified operative procedure / theatre list Position and connect equipment as required by the scrub team: disconnect and safely remove equipment as required Ensure proficiency with equipment before use in accordance with local policy and manufacturer’s instructions Prepare sterile trolleys and ensure all instrumentation is correct and accounted for, pre, intra and post-operative procedure Undertake surgical scrubbing, gowning and gloving procedures aseptically, in accordance with guidance Assisting in skin preparation and draping of the surgical field Assist registered practitioner in preparation of medicines required during surgery in line with local agreement Who we're looking for: Basic awareness of health, safety and hygiene Flexible working within shift duties To have relevant ATP qualification Possess the mandatory training requirements for the role including infection control and health and safety competencies Awareness of infection control We offer employees a competitive salary as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes: 35 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays Employer and employee contributory pension with flexible retirement options Flexibility to maximise your work life balance ‘Spire for you’ reward platform - discount and cashback for over 1000 retailers Free Bupa wellness screening Private medical insurance Life assurance A great team, all dedicated to being the best More information on our range of benefits is included in the attached leaflet.
