Salary: £60,000 to £75,000 (flexible based on experience)
Location: Manchester (3 days per week in the office)
Essential Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.
- Substantial rail design experience on civil/structural projects such as AFAs, stations, lineside, platform extensions etc.
- Chartered with ICE or IStructE.
- Strong client-facing abilities and technical expertise
- Management/leadership skills.
- Managing complex engineering projects within the rail sector
- Ensuring projects meet time, cost, and quality requirements
- Excellent technical skills such as design calculations, report writing etc.
- Solving technical problems effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical information
This position offers an excellent growth path within a massive and leading design consultancy known for its innovative projects and professional development opportunities. The role is based in Manchester, with three days per week in the office, providing a collaborative and supportive work environment focused on technical excellence.
You will be leading the Manchester civil design team on their rail portfolio, managing and monitoring junior members of the team, leading on projects and working directly with clients.
