Join Global Firm's Belfast Office as a Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor
Are you a solicitor with experience in Motor, Employer's Liability/Public Liability (EL/PL), and disease cases? Our Client is seeking a talented individual to join their Belfast office.
About the Role
The Belfast office is unique in Northern Ireland, focusing exclusively on litigation within the insurance industry. They handle a broad range of defendant product liability, EL/PL/Motor, clinical, marine, catastrophic cases, and more, providing expert advice and defence to national and international insurers.
Responsibilities:
- Regulatory and Defence Matters: Advise on regulatory issues, defend clients in health and safety prosecutions, and represent them at coronial inquiries.
- Liability Actions: Defend against claims ranging from catastrophic injuries to routine employers' and public liability, as well as road traffic accidents.
- Professional Negligence: Offer expert advice on negligence matters within financial services, construction, healthcare, real estate, insurance, and employment law.
- Claims and Coverage Issues: Act for insurers on a full range of claims and provide coverage defence for personal injury matters.
- Qualifications: 0-3 years' PQE as a Northern Irish qualified lawyer with insurance law experience.
- Skills: Strong communication (verbal and written), technical, research, and organisational skills. Ability to manage a busy caseload of low to medium value claims and assist senior solicitors on high value claims.
