Job Summary

Role Summary

The Associate Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research will support the development and implementation of HEOR strategies for all products across Autolus oncology and auto-immune portfolio. The successful candidate will continuously support the required HEOR updates for the Autolus product portfolio, support the development of the HEOR publications across the Autolus portfolio

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate is an experienced health economist who will develop, implement and manage health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) strategies to demonstrate the value of pipeline and inline products across the Autolus portfolio.

• Support the development of HEOR plans and outline strategic approach to support pricing and reimbursement activities. Drive hands-on economic assessments for products at all stages of development, using cost effectiveness, cost utility, cost minimization, budget impact, decision-analytic modelling and other methods as appropriate.

• Oversee country roll out and training of global health economic (HE) models (support country response to payer inquiries including subgroup/scenario analyses). Support the development and adaptation of local and national health technology assessment (HTA) dossiers, as well as support for market access field tools and resources (e.g. slide decks) and ensure correct positioning and relevant messaging in these tools to optimize access.

• Ensure the inclusion of the most appropriate patient reported outcomes (PRO) instruments in clinical trials. Work with the cross-functional team to publish the PRO outputs at scientific congress and in peer reviewed manuscripts.

• Provide high quality HEOR technical and methodological support to cross-functional teams to effectively use clinical, economic, and humanistic data to enhance value propositions, product reimbursement, and formulary access.

• Collaborate with Clinical, Biostats, Medical, Commercial, Market Access and US and EU affiliates to develop project strategy and ensure robust deliverables.

• Develop and manage strong collaborations with HE modelling key opinion leaders, academic researchers and vendors to ensure the utilisation of the latest and most innovative modelling methods

• Maintain awareness of the quickly evolving global access and reimbursement landscape and the evidence needs of health care decision-makers to guide HEOR strategies 

Experience & Qualifications

• An advanced degree (MSc., Ph.D., Pharm.D. or equivalent) in Health Economics, Economics, Public Heath, Epidemiology or related area

• Breadth of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry including the US, UK and EU region. Crafting HTA strategy and writing submissions; Designing and implementing economic models and payer toolkits; Developing and communicating clear value propositions

• Experience developing and implementing pharmacoeconomic models and publication of cost effectiveness analyses individually and in collaboration with contract research organizations and academic collaborators.

• Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities
