The Department of Estates and Facilities Management (EFM) at the University of Sheffield is the largest Professional Services Department at the university, employing over 720 staff across a range of professions and specialist areas. Now is an exciting time to take up a leadership role within the department. Following the appointment of a new Director of Estates and Facilities Management in March 2024, EFM is entering a transformational period with further leadership appointments in the department that will shape the team and culture for many years to come. There are exciting challenges ahead, with the development of a new estate strategy, significant capital investment, drive to net zero, asset management and space optimization, engineering and maintenance delivery, and campus services provision.
We are seeking an individual with significant career experience in engineering leadership roles across large-scale, operational property portfolios, together with a track record of planning and executing transformation programs resulting in performance improvement in the areas of engineering, maintenance, and estate compliance.
