We are seeking an Associate Director of Nursing. This is a senior role reporting directly to our Deputy Director of Nursing, and will play a key role in driving forward our vision to deliver outstanding Mental Health, Learning Disability, Forensic and Community Health services and shaping our inclusive culture in line with our Trust values.
You will be an integral part of the Trust's Senior Nursing, Healthcare Professionals & Quality team reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Nursing, This post is one of four Associate Directors of Nursing across the Trust. The postholder will work collaboratively with the other three Associate Directors of Nursing, to provide a complete professional leadership offer to the Trust. Supporting the Deputy Director of Nursing in providing senior level professional leadership and governance to the nursing workforce. This post will lead on International Nurse recruitment, Professional Nurse Advocacy, Chief Nurse Information Officer, Patient Experience Involvement and Volunteering and Safeguarding.

You will be a highly visible, proactive and compassionate clinical leader with extensive senior management/professional leadership experience. Acting as a role model and clinical resource, you will ensure the sustained delivery of high standards of nursing care and service delivery and have service user and carer Involvement at the heart of everything you do.
You will have an expert knowledge of compliance, clinical governance and risk management and a proven record in improving patient safety, patient experience and clinical effectiveness.

Provide senior level professional leadership and governance to the nursing workforce, including development and monitoring of professional standards for mental health, learning disability, children and adult nursing.

Lead specific work programmes -, Patient Experience, Involvement and Volunteering as well as Professional Practice and Development.

Provide senior professional leadership for the Trust on matters regarding pre and post basic nurse education, including liaison with education and university partners.

Represent the Trust externally both regionally and nationally on nurse educational forums and assemblies. Represent the Trust on system wide ICS nurse leadership forums, e.g.: NNMC

Lead the development, maintenance and improvement of patient involvement systems and processes to ensure robust clinical practice, clinical governance and Patient Safety.
